Why is Ondo up today?

$0.5337+30.2% 24h+41.2% 7d

Ondo is up 26.4% over 24 hours, to $0.5206, after launching three onchain portfolio tokens built on model strategies developed by BlackRock. The products, available on Ethereum and BNB Chain to eligible non-US investors, are managed by Ondo while BlackRock supplies the models — the clearest institutional endorsement yet for the tokenized-assets narrative that Ondo trades on. Separately, Ondo, Securitize and BlackRock have pitched OUSG for Sky's $1 billion tokenization initiative.

The move stands out against a flat tape: Bitcoin is unchanged over 24 hours near $84,441, and Ondo led an overnight altcoin bid, with 51 of 60 large-cap tokens on Kraken trading above their midnight levels. The backdrop is not risk-friendly — the US 30-year Treasury yield hit 5.44%, its highest since 2004 — which makes the rally look news-driven rather than market-wide.

Two headlines cut the other way and may explain the 1.4% slip in the past hour: reports that someone was shopping Ondo Finance to buyers after founder Nathan Allman's death, which the company denies, and a $350 million hack at exchange Bitget.
